Bosque Alemão and the story of Hansel and Gretel

Once again guided by tips from Barbara, We meet the Bosque Alemão, We enter the Woods across the street Shubert, where you can see a typical German construction, I came to find out be the oratorio of Bach, replica of a Presbyterian Church where he has concerts and exhibitions with ability to 100 persons . There on the outside have diner and bathroom. But the big deal of this entry is to go straight to the philosophers who is in front of the Church. With a big hat the Observatory is located at the end of a bridge where you can admire the whole area the Park occupies about 38 1000 m ².

How do we get over down the staircase of the tower to begin the trail in the Park. All paved with stones it is not difficult to walk, but for those who use a wheelchair or have any difficulty of locomotion have not seen any kind of lift or easier access, at least for this entry.

The forest was opened in 1996 and celebrates German culture that came with the immigrants to the region of Curitiba. The cool of the trails is a playful way they count through large tile panels the story of Hansel and Gretel. Of course it is a very light version, nobody says that in history (I listened to at least) they were abandoned by his father and stepmother in the forest because they were out of money. The story appears in the Woods is a tribute to the Brothers Grimm, Germans, worldwide known for their tales and Fables for children, Sometimes such children so. However certain literary classics.

Actually the original versions of children's tales are quite scary ... including to whom it may concern has a book called "fairy tales in their original versions" worth taking a read for those who are curious.

Anyway, the trail follows until you reach the enchanted House or the Witch's House. In this case, there's nothing scary and it's not even made of candy and cookies. The home houses a children's library where in days marked has story-children's story with people characterized as fairies and witches. Super cool proposal to lose the fear of witch is not? The day we went was closed, so we couldn't take pictures or get to know the interior of the House, but they say that houses about 110 people and it is possible, by a public library card, get books.

The forest is quite eclectic people tourist like us, people walking with their children, photo essay, and tour group slightly lost. After you pass by a bridge over a lake with some flowers and the trail ends in a big yellow portal, that was with a STUNNING flower garden in front of him. This portal is in Germanic Culture square, that is within the Bosque Alemão and reproduces the façade of the Casa Mila de 1870 built by German immigrants.
