Horseshoe Park

I can say without a doubt that my greatest joy in trip to Gramado and Canela were natural parks. A look and a nature, difficult to explain. Bethat 3 years later I go back to Cinnamon, and I'm still in love with the natural beauty of the region. One of those stunning places I wanted to go ( and repeated, and I'll repeat every time I go) is Horseshoe Park. The Park was opened in 7 th January 1995.

it's a lot of beauty

Unfortunately the park is not on the route of stops for those who take the Tour Bus. The logical question is very simple, the road to the park is quite ruiny. Beaten earth, slightly bumpy and full of ups and downs. What you can do is take the bus to the Air Trams and then take an Uber/ Taxi /whatever to Ferradura Park ( if you're out of rental car ). Getting there, arrange for the driver an hour to pick you up., because no cell phone, nor with reza braba has sign there.

For those who arrive in the park near lunchtime and starving, The Ferradura Park has a "snack bar" alias, Diner. At the top of a morrinho you find the Snack Barquati. Ironically when I first visited several coatis were walking there at the time. This time I didn't see any.

In the little house you will find several pyrexes and pans exposed on top of a wood stove, i in my innocence, I thought it was merely illustrative, until the attendant opened one of the doors to stoke the fire. The stove was beautiful! Super maintained and most importantly delicious food! From those places BBB.

Horseshoe Valley lookout

It is the main lookout point of the park, that's where you get the best view of the "Horseshoe" shape with the passage of the river Santa Cruz. Access is very easy and the distance of the restaurant does not reach 100 m. The dispute for the better picture is fierce. But with goodwill and patience everything works out. Horseshoe Valley is 420 m below the lookout. This viewpoint is the best place to take a picture of “Horseshoe”, but tell you that to pick up the whole curve that the river does only with wide angle lens or fish eye. This time, equipped with my SUPER Xtratx I managed to make the photo.

Natural Lookout

It's an area on top of a rock just before you reach the trails that go to the Arroio Valley. A great place for you to sit and enjoy the scenery and take a Sun.

Mirante do Vale do Brook Hunter

Much less crowded than the main lookout it is possible to enjoy an impressive view of the Arroio Caçador Valley. The trail is not mega complicated, but there are several irregular steps made on land between the roots of trees. Always good to be careful not to slip the twisting the foot, the ideal for sightseeing is a reliable shoe or footwear. (aiai me and my loose ankle). Extra tip: always look before you support your hand on something in the woods, you never know if you find any nice pet or thorns. Grandma ( now with 103 years) taught me after having taken fright with the snake that was on top of the gate hahaha. I saved it for life.

The cascade Brook Hunter lookout

The trail to this lookout ends on a long staircase, as is the most dot “Low” from the lookouts, logically has more trail and uneven steps. They're not paths that need a super physical preparation but a little it's okay. Besides that, if you do in your time, everything works out. From this lookout you can admire the waterfall that is on the right.

 Cotias Trail

A trail that leads nowhere hahaha you basically go around the forest and left near the parking lot. And in this joke takes some 20 min. It's a delight to wander through the bush? Yes no doubt, but I confess that we were more focused on the view.

River Trail Falling

Horseshoe Park's longest trail, about 58min (to come down), 350m. What about my frustration at having gone to the park a second time and once again not having time to do that part? Our schedule was so busy that not even wanting to downhill would give time, After all, went down, have to go up, with an estimated time of 2 h ascent. Entry to the trail is only allowed until 15h. From what I researched the trail does not need to be done whole, it can be divided into 3 parts, where you find lookouts. It's written down there for the next visit. Remembering that the Rio Trail that Falls, is WELL pulled and ZERO recommended for sedentary or people with heart and respiratory problems. Please people, have common sense.

Family area

In addition to the trails and overlooks the park features 8 barbecue grills, I believe that by scheduling in advance you can use without problems and a children's playground, pretty simple with slides and swings.

Tip of Fora da Toca – Horseshoe Park

Enjoy going to the park to taste the food of the Quati Snack Bar, delicious with super price into account is worth too much to be proven.
If you intend to make the greater trail, get there early and go with comfortable shoes and a water bottle. If you forget to water, in the snack bar you can buy. As it is park is always good remember sunscreen and repellent.

MORE NATURAL PARK
Still on the way to Horseshoe Park you can divert the way ( Some 20 min ) to get to know the Parque dos Paredões. Unfortunately, i didn't have time to get to know this park., but already jaw-dropping pictures of the lookout.

we got to the door but there was no time to even get out of the car

Transport
I talked more above in the post but it does not hurt to remember, the cellular signal in Ferradura Park is practically ZERO, don't count on it to call transport because it doesn't give! Arrange before with the driver not to get in the hand.
