Tour Montparnasse Observatory the most amazing view of Paris

One of the things that I love the most when visiting a city is having the opportunity to see the city from above, If possible from various angles. No wonder I went on this trip to Paris, in 4 places hahaha. Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Couer ( Montmartre) and the Montparnasse tower. Without blinking the Montparnasse tower, for me, is where you get a more complete view of the city of lights and with greater comfort, but before I tell you about this experience I will tell a little about the history of the tower which contrasts with the Parisian scenery.

She is really high

The creation of the Tower began in the 1934 When SNCF ( company of trains and subways of Paris ) saw that the old Montparnasse station couldn't handle anymore. But only 25 years after the reconstruction the project began came out of paper. In 1959, the first studies of the Tour Montparnasse were made, and severely criticized due to it´s height. The winning project was of four architects: Urbain Cassan, Eugène Beaudouin, Louis de Hoÿm of Marien and Jean Saubot. Just in 1968 that André Malraux releases the building permit. But it is in 1970 that starts the construction of the tower and two years after the 57 floors divided into 200 meter is ready! Still in the year your grand opening 9 meters have been added for building heliport. This area today is the fabulous roof terrace with 360° views of the Montparnasse tower. It´s official inauguration took place on the day 18 June 1973.

The entrance to the tower is at the top of the stairs on the left. Almost everyone I've seen, as well as, me went through the revolving doors, as for the commercial tower, security should no longer handle having to redirect tourists hahahaha

The Tower has two options to enjoy the landscape. The terrace has a fantastic 360° view of the city. Some signs indicate the main points of Paris that you see in each position. Strongly recommend a Cardigan because although the glass on the terrace the wind does not forgive. Look at the hair of the person in the image below. The gaps on the glass are held as the sunset approaches. After all even though transparent glass always has a mark or reflection to mess up our photo.

Recommend you go up in the Tower in the late afternoon to see the city with sun light, enjoy the sunset and enjoy the light of city light. Package 3 in 1. If you want to go early in the morning and later afternoon, as well as several observatories around the world, They offer a double ticket (a little bit more expensive) to you go 2 times within 48 hours.

you can see Notre Dame
that front view that only in Montparnasse Tower you can have it

Because I liked os much of the Tour Montparnasse? The infrastructure offered is great. There's plenty of space does not have push push. You can go to the terrace or stay downstairs where there's bar, bathrooms, Shop and interactive totems with games and information about the city and the Tour de Montparnasse.

For you who are used to being "robbed" in cafes in turistic places. The Montparnasse tower was a pleasant surprise. Fair prices, hot stuff and very nice service. The price was so ok that even in a mega economic trip I let myself drink a beer, that was great by the way, even though I'm more a fan of IPAs.

that energy

I tried to stay on the terrace to have a clear view of the city but I was feeling so cold because of the wind that I had to accept to watch from downstairs. The roof of the Tower eventually hosts events such as dance lessons among others. Down the stairs that I should have climbed and descended a few 3 times. I choose a corner and planted there, as the sky turns gold the amount of people in the window increases. But still all very quiet. After the sun goes down I confess I took a chair and planted a good time there.

“inception” I put cell phone to make a time-lapse sunset

My expectation of vista and the place was more than satisfactory! But as always there are things we have no control over, I expect to see the fully illuminated Tower of cabin. Unfortunately, the day I was, It was the day that Charles Aznavour died. In tribute, the Tower not lit fully, but kept the bucks blink every hour and a slight reddish light on iron structure.

I think this time of transition is the most beautiful

As I said at the beginning of the POST I recommend to visit the Montparnasse tower. Sensational views, wonderful infrastructure, not to mention that I was extremely well attended by all with whom I needed to talk. Good service to tourists was something I noticed all over Paris, no complaints.

like I said, the night I went up the Tower didn't lit up completely, but it´s still beautiful
