2 days of Curitiba!

We ended up getting to Curitiba with the wedding of a friend of mine. Since we were going to travel there we decided to take the opportunity to meet (within the possible time) some of the most famous spots.

Tip from local people is all good! Whenever you can ask a local tips is to visit or food no ceremony, is the best thing in the world! Barbara as good Curitiba in spent several tips to take advantage of our stay, Since Louis despite living there is not a location, hehehe. Unfortunately I couldn't do todassss, but we take some. We arrived at around 11:00 at the airport, get in the car and went to the hotel for our luck had rooms available, We left our bags and set off for a walk/lunch.

Following the first hint we had lunch in the restaurant of Curitiba, the Restaurant San Francisco as the plate even says it was founded in 1955. The environment of the restaurant is super simple and antiguinhos, but no need to worry there's nothing seedy or dirty, It's all well groomed, and as it was lunchtime on Friday was in full swing! We ask innocently a plate for 2, cutlet (I with my ignorance I found out it was the same thing as chops or rack) with the trimmings. A world of food that you have no idea!

It was too much food even, but fit in our table! We ordered a carafe of juice to bind off (It was very cheap!). All mellow, and wonderfully into account. We were in a car so our autonomy was great, taking the part of Park because it had a little vague but okay. We decided to make a mini marathon to meet as much as possible from Curitiba. The first tourist spot closer to where we were was the Botanical Garden of Curitiba. Famous for greenhouse downtown in the Garden we to get a parking space, best part for free!

We don't take a day there beautiful muitooo, but we came back the next day with blue sky! Click here to learn more about the Botanical Garden of Curitiba.

We took the car to follow towards the wire Opera House, turns out I got waved for her to meet the Tanguá Park first. The Park has easy access and parking on the outside free. A beautiful artificial waterfall drops from about 50 m to the Lake. You can climb the 65 m lookout to enjoy the view of the Park. I wish I had gone a little slower to have exploited more, but time is short and we ran out. If you want more information about our visit to the Tanguá Park click here.

We should get our friends the night at the airport, but due to the traffic jam that had in Rio they missed the flight and stayed for the next day this function.

So the next day we go out in the morning and meet a few more places before going to the airport. We leave for the Museum of the eye, Oscar Niemeyer Museum or just MON. Super worth the trip, the collection is really nice, even more with the works under the guard of the MON due to car wash. You can check out here in more detail our visit.

And while we were already parked went to the park that sits just behind the MON the Pope's Grove or Woods John Paul II. The forest has trails paved with stone so there is no sacrifice walk through the trees, In addition to the nature park's central attraction is the replica of a Polish village, with a shop selling typical foods.

Before going to the airport, we thought we'd pass the municipal market of Curitiba, but it was may 1 and consequently holiday ... Another one next time. We seek our friends and we went to lunch on delicious German bar. As recommended all we ask submarines, a mug of beer with a cup full of dose of steinhagen (typical German distilled drink) inside. She is very strong, and I would never drink pure! But mixed in beer was great! They offer beer black, mixed or normal to ask the Sub. All were good but I liked mixed. The dishes are typical and took a while to get out, so we ended up opting for something faster, 2 sausage dishes with side dishes. All very yummy.

We ran out to get ready for the wedding. Everything was great. But the next day was a day to go. Oh! Sadness! How can you pass too quickly!?

Day of leave is always gone but as the flight was later gave to peacefully leave our friends at the airport and left for another round of attractions before you leave. Following our list of tips (Thank You Barbara!!), We meet the friendly Bosque Alemão, a huge green area in the middle of a neighborhood of houses, has a curious characteristic, as you walk the trail large panels tell the story of Hansel and Gretel, a typically German tale. Click here to find out more details of this visit and how to leverage with the small.

The Panoramic Tower of Curitiba is in reality of Hi, as it is a phone that has a Tower Observatory deck and is open to visitation. With almost 110 meters high the Tower must provide an incredible view. I say should because unfortunately the tower was in the elevator broke and I couldn't go up. Stay for our next trip, Since you look. Anyway follow the Panoramic Tower of Curitiba information.

Where We?

Harbor Saint Michel

The hotel is simple, the large and comfortable rooms including the kitchen for you to use. To our surprise the air conditioning there works for both heat up how cool, for us people of the river we found very exotic and super functional. The only thing I missed, taking into account the cold curitibano was tap water be hot, ice water is cruel ... The hotel has secured parking for guests, is charged for daily and the value is not nothing absurd. The breakfast is served on the ground floor and have plenty of food options.

Tip of Fora da Toca

"Curitiba"

Throughout there are souvenirs shops Curitiba, including a network of them called "Take Curitiba". It's cute and have party favors for all tastes and pockets. I was tempted to load a capybara plush but the price discouraged me hehehe, I got pretty book markers, a bag that comes with 3 synthetic ice and "take the chill of Curitiba with you" cute is not? In addition to a giant pencil coloring. I think I got more things ... but I can't remember ...

Address: As I said there are several shops scattered around town, in this link have all the addresses and hours of operation. Of that I went to was the Botanical Garden.
