Tanguá Park in Curitiba

Tanguá Park is one of the major parks in the city of Curitiba. It was founded in 23 November 1996 located in neighborhoods and Taboão Pillar, occupying an area of approx 24 MIEnte 235 1000 m ² dand old quarries along the river Gava family Barigui, (currently disabled). The Park occupies a space that had originally been destined for a recycling company, but ended up being transformed into a park and consequently helping the preservation of the area. Even without GPS is easy to reach, numerous signs in the streets indicate your direction.

The Park is divided into two parts. At the top is the garden, the gazebo, the store of souvenirs "Curitiba", the restrooms and the cafeteria. At the bottom is the Lake, a deck, the bike path, race track, the front view of the waterfall and a tunnel stone is possible through a bridge on the Lake. Some places say that this crossing can be made by boat but according to the Web site Curitiba Tourism Guide It has never been possible.

As soon as you enter at the top you can admire the beautiful Poty Lazzarotto Garden, inaugurado in 6 (d)and June of 1998, and named after a local artist Napoleon Potyguara Lazzarotto. Based on the French style garden is a free, symmetry and colours enchant. In the Centre a mirror d ´ water with fountain completes the look creates the ante room to reach the Park lookout. The Observatory has 65 m in height in relation to the lake bottom and there it is possible to have access to a snack bar and bathrooms.

Below the Observatory runs an artificial river that flows into the edge of the quarry giving rise to a beautiful waterfall that flows into the Lake almost 50 m below. We were lucky to catch the open Cascade since she spent a long time off for renovations. Recommend staying a while in gazebo enjoying the sight and sound of water.

We visited the Park too fast for two reasons:

1- Our time was short and still wanted to go the wire Opera House
2- I didn't know you had this stone tunnel.

So it turns out don't we go down to see the bottom. I read that it is possible to access- her car, for anyone who has difficulty of locomotion is ideal since it's a long descent ramp. Anyway the view from the gazebo is well cool! It was great to meet this park and super recommend. For those who have more time left I think valid Pack a lunch and have a picnic on the lower deck to admire the waterfall.
